The Cross adapte in Verrières-en-Anjou is a short adapted cross-country event held at the Bois-de-la-Salle sports complex. The program begins in the morning with multiple heats over 0.78 km and 1.3 km, focusing on accessible races instead of a single large start. It is organized by IME Monplaisir, a branch of the HandiCap’Anjou Association, with assistance from ASSSA, the local athletics club, and the commune of Verrières-en-Anjou.
The course primarily uses the athletics track, and one specified 1.3 km route includes only 5 metres of elevation gain. This event marks its seventh edition, and Bois-de-la-Salle hosts for the second year in a row. Participants represent the three divisions of the HandiCap’Anjou association, with staff, volunteers, the town council, and the athletics club contributing to the day's operations.
