About this race
Cross du Monument Crivelli is a 5.6 km race in Mont-d'Origny, Aisne department, northern France. It is run as an individual time trial: runners start one by one, 30 seconds apart, from 10:00 AM. The event takes place near the end of autumn and is organised by Courir a Mont-d'Origny, with local volunteers assisting.
The route follows the Oise river before climbing to the Crivelli monument. The race is brief but not flat. Finishers have traditionally been given a bowl of homemade tripe, a custom linked to the Fiévez family, who created the first edition. The recipe is guarded by Felix, who is described locally as still lively in his nineties. This mix of time-trial format, riverside running, a hill, and a local food tradition gives the race personality beyond its distance.
