The Duathlon des Mandarines is a cross-duathlon held at the Aglanets military ground in Orange, Vaucluse, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Mistral Triath’Club Orange organizes the event, supported by the City of Orange, Air Base 115, and the regional triathlon league. With a limit of 250 participants, it is a small local race.
The format is run-bike-run over off-road terrain, with the Aglanets site providing a distinct setting compared to a typical town-road duathlon. The race primarily targets young athletes, though recent participants have also come from Avignon, Carpentras, Cavaillon, and Tricastin. The mistral wind can influence conditions in Orange; one edition saw about 100 starters in challenging weather. The event resumed after a Covid hiatus, while some youth formats are currently paused or awaiting a future date.
