Défi Run Languidic is a nature-running weekend in Languidic, in Morbihan, built around local paths rather than road racing alone. The association behind it was created in June 2015 by runners who wanted to share the pleasure of running together, with competition kept secondary. The program includes timed races over 5 km, 10 km, 16 km and 22 km, plus a 10 km Saturday hike for walkers and families.
The routes are designed to show parts of the commune, using public tracks and private paths that are opened specially for race day. One newer option is the 16 km Mané Coët Liven circuit, while the longer race is named Sur les chemins de St Jacques. Bibs use timing chips, but the feel is still local and club-led: hikers get a wristband and a snack at the finish, children under 12 can join the hike free, and the event supports A VIF du GHBS, an association helping victims of intra-family violence.
