Derby de la Molière - Autrans-Méaudre en Vercors 2027

Derby de la Molière is a downhill cross-country ski race held in Autrans-Méaudre en Vercors, French Alps. It takes place each winter, starting from the higher elevations above the resort. This event is designed for Nordic skiers seeking speed, snow, and a playful atmosphere, rather than intense competition. Both adults and children are welcome to participate; costumes add to the enjoyment, but standard ski attire is also perfectly acceptable. The primary course begins at La Sure, descending 750 metres over 13 km. This layout is distinctive for cross-country skiing, focusing mainly on descent, speed control, and the enjoyment of the run. A separate Kids Derby is offered for children, starting from Gève with 5 km of downhill skiing for ages 5 to 14. The event intentionally accommodates a wide range of participants, including beginners, seasoned skiers, families, and those in costume, all sharing the same race.
