Duathlon de Saintes, held in early March in Saintes, Charente-Maritime, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, western France, is a run-bike-run event organized by Saintes Triathlon. It features the Duathlon S format, offering both individual and relay options. The event also includes races for children and juniors, with distances ranging from 250 meters and 750 meters up to 2.5 km and 5 km, ensuring participation beyond adult competitors.
The course winds through Saintes’ urban streets, crossing bridges and passing through public parks. Now in its tenth edition, the event plays a significant role in youth duathlon, serving as a qualifier for the French Youth Duathlon Championships and regional youth championships. This provides a competitive pathway for young athletes seeking selection, while also accommodating local participants, relay teams, and families opting for shorter distances.
