The Duathlon de Versailles is a family duathlon for pairs, consisting of one adult and one child aged 6 to 13. The pair begins, runs, bikes, and finishes together, emphasizing shared experience over team handoffs. It takes place on a Saturday, with younger children competing first and older children starting later in the afternoon.
Two distance options are available, tailored to age groups. Mini-Poussins and Poussins complete a 250 m run, a 1 km mountain or hybrid bike section, and a final 250 m run. Pupilles and Benjamins undertake a longer course: 750 m run, 5 km bike, and 750 m run. The adult participant can be a parent or another close relative. The schedule allows adults to participate in the Triathlon des Suisses afterward.
