The Duathlon des Ferréols is a run-bike-run race held in March, connected to the Ferréols lake area near Digne-les-Bains and La Javie, within the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. Digne-les-Bains Triathlon organizes this event, which originated from the club's initial duathlon at the lake. It combines road cycling with running, omitting swimming. The event provides short race distances, including XS and S categories, and a team option for the S distance.
The race navigates the hilly terrain surrounding Digne and La Javie, with routes passing through mountain scenery and challenging trails, making it suitable for athletes adaptable to pace changes rather than solely relying on flat speed. It attracts club runners and cyclists from the region; one past edition noted 17 clubs, 72 duathletes, and over 270 attendees. The event is also part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Triathlon League challenge, where clubs compete for points, and younger participants can use it as a step towards qualifying for the French Championships.
