The Duathlon des Neiges Savoie Grand Revard is a snow duathlon in Les Déserts, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It is held on the La Féclaz Nordic Plateau, close to Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains, and Annecy, and it links two winter disciplines in one race: white trail running on snow and Nordic skiing. Chambéry Triathlon organizes the event, with a short format built around 4 km of snow trail, 6 km of Nordic skiing, then another 4 km of snow trail.
The race is not just for adult endurance athletes: the program also includes youth events for children aged 8 to 11 and for older juniors aged 12 to 19. The format is simple to understand but demanding in practice, because runners have to switch from running on snow to skiing and then back to running again. Viviers-du-Lac is the nearest train station, a little over 6 km away, which makes the plateau reachable without being in a large town. Some listed formats are either paused or waiting for a future date, so the event’s schedule may depend on renewal from one edition to the next.
