Betschdorf’s Duathlon du Naveco begins at ESCAL on rue du Bannholz in the Bas-Rhin pottery town, opening the Grand Est duathlon calendar in March. Organized by the local NAVECO triathlon club, this run-bike-run event offers youth, XS, and S-format races, not a single distance for all. Entries are capped, with the field potentially exceeding 600 athletes, marking it as a regional race with significant participation rather than a small local event.
The event serves multiple official capacities: it is the Grand Est championship for adults, teams, and youth, a qualifier for the Division 3 semi-final, and a selection race for the French Youth Championship. It also initiates the Regional Youth Challenge, attracting young racers from across Grand Est alongside club athletes, amateurs, and elite competitors. This blend is central: one town, one early-season duathlon, and a race day combining local organization with regional importance.
