The Duathlon du Tricastin takes place at Lac de Pignedoré in Pierrelatte, Drôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This run-bike-run event occurs in late winter, offering XS and S race formats alongside youth races for children, juniors, and cadets. The event caters to all ages, featuring short duathlons for younger children, XS races for benjamins and minimes, S races for cadets and juniors, and D3 races for women and men.
The running portions are confined to the Lac de Pignedoré area, utilizing paths and roads adjacent to the water, allowing participants to begin and end on a defined, compact loop. The cycling leg departs from the lake, following a flat, rapid circuit structured as multiple 5-kilometer laps for the XS and S formats. This course design facilitates spectator viewing and suits athletes seeking consistent pacing, swift transitions, and a route where consistent rhythm is prioritized over elevation gain.
