Even Trail 2026

Even Trail is a November trail race in Esvres, a village in Indre-et-Loire near Tours in the Centre-Val de Loire region. It offers three distances: 22 km, 12 km, and a 7 km Trail des Copines reserved for women. The race is a proper off-road outing, with mostly wooded paths, forest sections, muddy ground when rain hits, and water crossings deep enough to put runners' feet and sometimes knees in the water. The 12 km and 22 km routes use the paths and trails of the Echandon valley, where short climbs break up any idea that this corner of the Loire is completely flat. The terrain can turn slippery in November, so the challenge is less about speed on clean paths and more about handling wet trails, small hills, and surprises underfoot. After the finish, the local flavor is very Touraine: rillettes, rillons, Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine goat cheese, nougat, and a glass of Val de Loire wine.
