Forez Trails is a trail-running series held in Augerolles, a village in France’s Puy-de-Dôme department. The races take place in early March, offering runners four timed options: 12 km, 25 km, 33 km, and 50.5 km. The 12 km La Faye route is for solo runners only and includes 396 m of climbing. The longer distances are available for solo participants or two-person teams.
The courses enter the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park, with some parts within a Natura 2000 protected zone. The elevation gain increases with distance: L’Olmetoise is 25 km with 954 m of elevation gain, and L’Augerolloise is 33 km with 1,100 m of gain. The event highlights its Auvergne location with the slogan “Run Forez, Run!”, aiming to showcase the region’s forests, hills, and rugged terrain.
