About this race
Foulée de la Ligue is a run-and-walk event held at Saint-Victor-sur-Loire, beginning at the Croix des Sagnes. The Loire committee of the Ligue contre le cancer organizes it, offering four route choices: 17 km, 12.5 km, 9.5 km, and 4.2 km. The longest route is named le Lizeron, followed by le Grangent, les Moussettes, and le Bréat. The short Bréat route is flat enough for strollers, making the event accessible beyond trained runners. Starts are staggered in the early evening, with the 17 km group departing first, followed by participants on the other routes.
The routes traverse the area between Roche-la-Molière and Saint-Victor-sur-Loire. Participants include runners, walkers with poles, families with young children, children running independently, and walkers with dogs. Over 1,000 people have participated, fostering a sense of community alongside the races. Entry fees benefit the Ligue contre le cancer, with reduced prices for young people and free entry for children under 12. No medical certificate or license is needed, welcoming casual participants.
