Foulée du Chasselas is a local running event in Le Thor, a town in the Vaucluse department of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in southern France. It is organized by La Foulée du Chasselas, a running association based in Le Thor with about 60 regular runners and roughly a hundred volunteers and supporters. The race takes place on the second Saturday of March, offering adult distances of approximately 5 km, 7 km, and 10.5 km, alongside children's and junior races. The 5 km run is named Le Petit Thouzon, the 10.5 km is Le Grand Thouzon, and the 7 km option provides a less strenuous path for walkers.
The starts are from the boulodrome, and the program is designed for club runners, casual runners, walkers, children, and families, not exclusively for competitive racers. The event can accommodate up to about 1,000 participants across the adult, children's, and walking courses, and it contributes to the Vauclusien and FSGT challenges. Music, awards for all participants, and a popular buffet are included, with a dinner dance and gatherings fostering connections among runners, volunteers, and supporters. The association also conducts regular training sessions from the gymnasium in Le Thor, indicating the race stems from an active local running club rather than being an isolated occasion.
