The Foulée du Chasselas is a March afternoon race in Le Thor, Vaucluse, centered on running, walking, music, and a local club that sustains the event. The organizing association, active in town for 25 years, has managed Le Thor’s foot races for 19 years. It typically gathers about 60 regular runners, around a hundred volunteers and supporters, and can attract up to 1,000 participants across adult races, children’s running, and walking routes.
The program typically includes four routes starting from the Aurélie-Aubert boulodrome: a 10 km race, Le Grand Thouzon; a 5 km race, Le Petit Thouzon; a 7 km walk; and a free 1 km children’s race. The routes traverse a natural area near Le Thor, with Thouzon castle nearby as a historical landmark after the finish. The day includes musical entertainment, awards for all participants, and a popular post-race buffet. The race also contributes to the Vauclusian and FSGT challenges, drawing both local club runners and individuals seeking a community event.
