About this race
The Foulées Castelnodaises is a local running series in Noyal-Châtillon-sur-Seiche, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, organized by Cercle Paul Bert Athlétisme. The program focuses on accessible road and nature races, not a single main distance. Recent editions included an 8 km nature race, a 10 km road race, a 10 km duo relay, and a 15 km nature race. Children participate in short youth races: 860 m for athletics-school age groups and poussins, and 2,780 m for benjamins and minimes.
The 10 km can begin in the Petite Saudraie neighborhood on Rue de la Bastille, using local roads like Rue des Grands Chemins and a section of the REV route, potentially causing traffic changes. The organizers demonstrated adaptability when flooding altered part of the 10 km course; they rerouted and marked the course on short notice, informing runners that the alternative route was not officially measured. The series has passed its 40th anniversary, marking it as a long-standing town event where club runners, relay pairs, families, and young athletes gather.
