At Épinal’s Parc du Château, Foulées des Barbus brings men together for a non-timed 6.5 km run or walk. The event raises awareness for male cancers and is part of France’s national cancer-awareness calendar, linked to Octobre Rose. It typically takes place in early November, preceded by a morning warm-up.
The 6.5 km route is suitable for casual runners and walkers. A separate 2 km course is available for individuals with reduced mobility. The Vosges Committee of the League against Cancer organizes the event, with the entire registration fee supporting the local committee. Recent events have seen close to 2,000 registered men, along with many partners, and over 20,000 euros raised, highlighting it as a community effort rather than a competitive race.
