Les Foulées du Bono is a running series in Le Bono, a village in Morbihan, Brittany, where over 700 runners start on coastal paths. It is the oldest race in Morbihan, with over a century of history, and the program includes a trail race alongside the main Foulées event. The mayor starts the race, and participants range from regular podium contenders and local club runners to couples, families, and those who simply enjoy running by the coast.
The route follows Le Bono’s shoreline paths, with volunteers managing safety, signage, and aid stations along the circuits. The race has strong ties to local families: three generations of the Héno family contribute to its organization, with 88-year-old Monique managing an aid station while her grandson Jérémy competes in the trail race. Over fifty volunteers support the event, including Gérard Guillas, who has assisted for more than thirty years. The finish includes a distinctly local award: each runner receives a bag of oysters from Anita Allain, with approximately 700 bags prepared.
