Saint-Quentin sits in the Picardy flatlands north of Paris, where cycling dominates the local racing calendar. The Randonnée Téléthon rides out from nearby Morcourt at 55km and 50km distances, drawing riders across gently rolling terrain typical of the region's agricultural landscape. Runners have less of a dedicated scene here, but the town itself is canal-crossed and low-lying, making it suitable for flat training runs along the Somme valley.
