Girl on Trail is a trail race in Rontalon, a village in the Monts du Lyonnais, France. Though only in its second year, the event attracted close to 400 runners. It coincides with International Women’s Day, using running to raise awareness for bone marrow donation and women’s health.
The organizers prioritize solidarity and community over finish times, making the race feel like a collective local effort rather than a timed competition. Audrey Mamet, an organizer, expressed relief after the final participants crossed the line, highlighting the day's emphasis on ensuring everyone completed the course and that the race's message resonated.
