About this race
The GravelMan Series Orléans is a gravel and ultra-endurance cycling event held in October in Orléans, France. It offers riders routes through the Loire Valley with options from 60 km to nearly 500 km. The 60 km route features approximately 800 m of elevation gain, and the 350 km route climbs about 4,000 m.
The courses incorporate gravel paths, forest tracks, Loire riverbanks, fields, rolling countryside, and UNESCO-listed Loire Valley scenery. This Orléans event is characterized as more rolling and approachable compared to GravelMan events in mountainous areas like Annecy, the Basque Country, or Marrakech. It is designed for participants who enjoy bikepacking, self-sufficiency, and extended rides on varied terrain. Consistent with GravelMan tradition, the map and a manifesto detailing required equipment, GPS tracks, and start/finish points are provided only a few days before the event.
