The Grenoble-Vizille is a trail and walking event in Isère, French Alps. It starts in Eybens near Grenoble and finishes at the Domaine de Vizille. This point-to-point race offers distances of approximately 11 km, 17 km, 20 km, and 30 km, allowing participants to select a shorter trail or a longer mountain-style run. The longest route ascends between 1,000 and 1,250 metres, with the 20 km course featuring around 700 metres of elevation gain.
The course incorporates a section of the Route Napoléon, connecting the race to the historical route of Napoleon's return from Elba. It crosses town areas, forests, parks, and castle grounds, featuring ascents and descents of similar magnitude. This design provides a challenging course across diverse terrain for trail runners and hikers. The event also includes a relay, races for children and juniors, and a costume-friendly theme inspired by Napoleon and "revolutionary" imagery.
