About this race
The HDB Trail Challenge is a 15.5 km trail race held in Quessoy, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany. It takes place in mid-June and is run as a four-person team time trial. Teams depart individually from a launch podium, with several minutes between each start, making the race feel more like a relay against the clock than a typical mass-start trail run. The organizers describe the route as a technical trail with varied terrain and two aid stations before the finish.
The event attracts a significant local participation. One edition saw 800 runners forming 200 teams, with many participants from nearby companies. The day also features a solidarity hike in the morning, races for children and juniors, partner stands related to sports, and family activities including inflatable play areas, climbing, and face painting. Following the races, participants can enjoy concerts, on-site food, and the traditional trail runners' meal.
