The Infinity Trail - Les Terrils - Pas-de-Calais - Liévin is an hourly-loop trail race held in Noyelles-sous-Lens, within the Pas-de-Calais mining basin. The course utilizes the region's terrils, which are the black, man-made hills resulting from mining operations. The race format is straightforward: participants begin a loop each hour and must complete it in less than 60 minutes to proceed.
The loop incorporates two sections on the Arena Terril Trail, then follows the Lens canal, circles Brochet pond, and crosses the Garance marsh. Runners who finish a lap ahead of the hour can rest until the next scheduled start, making the event as much a test of pacing and recovery as it is of speed. This event marks its second edition, highlighting running on the terrils as a tribute to the miners who influenced the area.
