About this race
Kiné Trail du Pilat is a 100% nature trail race held in Le Chambon-Feugerolles, Loire department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It provides three distances: 7.61 km, 15.33 km, and 20.98 km, with the longest route reaching 700 metres of elevation gain. The short race is designed for a fast-paced effort, the middle distance for a measured trail run, and the 21 km option as a substantial endurance challenge.
The routes traverse the forests, winding paths, and undulating terrain of the Pilat region, avoiding extensive road sections. The race is organized by AAEMKS, the physiotherapy student association from Saint-Étienne. Its inaugural edition also serves a charitable aim, supporting Anges des Eaux Vives, an organization assisting children with disabilities. The race names reflect the organizers' medical background, featuring entries named La phalange, L’humérus, and Le squelette.
