About this race

L'Enjambée de la Mauldre is a mid-September trail running and Nordic walking event held in Maule, located in the Yvelines department west of Paris. Starting from Lycée du Buat, it features three trail race distances of approximately 13, 20, and 33 km, alongside Nordic walks of 13 and 20 km. The atmosphere is that of a local sports gathering rather than a high-level competition, catering to beginners, experienced trail runners, walkers, and groups participating as teams with friends, family, or colleagues. The courses traverse the gently rolling countryside of the Mauldre valley surrounding Maule, passing through the villages of Bazemont, Herbeville, and Mareil-sur-Mauldre. Participants will run through a mix of small towns, open fields, wooded areas, and some paved sections. While not a remote mountain race, it provides a genuine nature experience conveniently situated near the capital. The event embraces its name with playful "leg"-themed jokes, including the notion that "no place for weak legs" exists, aligning with its September timing as a way to resume activity after the summer break.
