Ultra Selle Pied takes place in March in Conty, located in the Somme department of Hauts-de-France. The event is described as the Somme's first ultra-walk, offering routes from a 6 km family walk up to a 50 km challenge. While it carries the ultra name, it caters to various fitness levels with 12 km, 22 km, and 42 km options. Participants can choose between walking, Nordic walking, gravel, trail, running, and canicross.
The routes traverse the countryside surrounding Conty, including natural areas, public parks, and forests. Conty Selle Pied, the local walking association, organized the event to showcase the Somme region and ensure it is welcoming to individuals and families. Aid stations are available, participants are requested to bring an eco-cup, and the event incorporates ecological practices. A timing chip is provided for a competitive element, and all finishers receive a commemorative gift.
