La Calamanaise begins and ends at the town hall in Calamane, Lot department, France. This spring trail-running event offers two primary race distances: a 11-12 km route and a 21-22 km route. The shorter trail is described as fairly runnable, while the longer one is intended for experienced trail runners, featuring approximately 580 m of elevation gain.
The event also features an 11 km hike, Nordic walking, and free children's races for ages 6 to 15, catering to a wider audience beyond regular trail racers. Trail race entries are managed through Chrono-Start, with hikers and children able to register on-site. The Foyer Rural de Calamane organizes the event, emphasizing its eco-responsible approach. Participants receive aid stations on the course and at the finish, a participant gift, a local beer cup, a raffle, an aperitif, music by Les Degats locos, and an optional meal by reservation. The race has been held for nearly twenty years, with one past edition attracting 236 runners on newly designed trail circuits.
