La Courstache Aubière

At La Courstache in Aubière, near Clermont-Ferrand, the moustache is part of the point: runners can arrive with their own or get one painted at the makeup areas before starting. The event raises money for the fight against male cancers, with 100% of registration fees going to the La Courstache Endowment Fund. It offers FFA-certified timed 5 km and 10 km road races, plus a 5 km walk or free-pace solidarity option for those who want the cause without a race clock. The races use public roads, including sections temporarily closed to traffic, and the event is run with ASPTT Clermont and a large volunteer security team. Recent editions have drawn more than 6,500 participants overall, while the 10 km alone has listed over 2,100 finishers. Families, walkers, club runners, first-timers, and people with reduced mobility all have a place through the 5 km solidarity format. The welcome village adds men’s health and cancer-prevention stands, and the fund has paid for concrete local projects such as virtual reality headsets and resin 3D printers for Centre Jean Perrin, adaptive physical activity equipment, and socio-esthetic support care at Clermont-Ferrand hospital.
