La Dragonale Été 30 km is a new summer trail race starting from the center of Praz-sur-Arly, a village in the French Alps. The main race covers 30 km with 2,000 meters of climbing, while the shorter 15 km option has 1,000 meters of climbing. This is not a casual forest jog: the 30 km route is mostly on trails and is described by the organizers as technical and demanding.
The course heads from the village toward the local summits of Crêt-du-Midi, Ban-Rouge, and Mont de Vorès, with Mont Blanc visible behind the route. Runners move through forests, alpine pastures, ridges, and mountain paths, and the 30 km race includes one full aid station with food and drinks. Entry is capped at 400 bibs for the 30 km distance and 400 for the 15 km distance, and 30 km runners must carry at least one liter of water and a cup.
