La Foulée de Crozet is a local running series in Crozet, a village in Ain in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, at the foot of the Alps. It is held annually around early autumn, traditionally on the first Sunday of October, offering five distances for children, juniors, and adults. The adult races are approximately 5 km and 10 km: the shorter race is one loop, while the longer one is two. The children’s options are much shorter, starting at about 550 m and progressing through 1.1 km and 2.8 km, allowing families to enter more than one age group on the same day.
The 5 km begins on Rue de la Mairie and follows roads around Crozet, with the route passing lakes and ponds; the wider event also includes road and trail sections for different levels of runner. The 10 km is the most popular distance, but the race is designed for a mixed field rather than exclusively for fast club athletes. A refreshment stop is provided near the lake and again at the finish. A charity component is also part of the day: Ma Bulle Rose participates, and a portion of each registration fee supports individuals affected by cancer in the Pays de Gex.
