About this race
La Foulée Meudonnaise is a running event held in late April in Meudon, near Paris, featuring races on natural terrain instead of city streets. Participants can choose from 5 km, 8 km, and 10 km races, a 5 km walk, a 4 x 2 km relay, and children’s races of 800 m and 1.8 km. The event attracts competitive runners, casual joggers, handisport athletes, families, and children, with approximately 2,500 bibs distributed annually.
The start is expected to be on the terrace of the Meudon Observatory, with the route crossing the Meudon state forest. The course passes through areas like the Parc de l’Observatoire, the Bel Air water body, and the Villebon pond, consisting of forest paths and open natural ground without paved roads. The 10 km route has an elevation gain of about 70 m, and the 5 km route climbs around 40 m, differing from a flat road race. This event has been organized for roughly thirty years and incorporates social aspects such as inclusion, integration, and solidarity. Athletes from Meudon’s twin towns participate, adding an international dimension to this local forest race.
