La Lespar'run takes place in Lesparre-Médoc, within Gironde's wine region. Its main event is a 21.6 km race combining road segments and nature trails through local vineyards. The event also features a flat, fast 10 km road race, a 5 km race primarily on asphalt with a brief gravel section, youth races of 2.6 km and 1000 m, and a non-timed 10 km walk for hikers. It functions as a local running day, offering distinct formats for children, road runners, walkers, and hikers.
The 21.6 km course highlights the Médoc region, guiding runners through vineyard areas near Lesparre with opportunities to sample local wines. The 10 km race is designed for speed on very flat roads. The 5 km maintains a quick pace, except for approximately 700 m on a limestone path. Hikers have a dedicated vineyard loop with a gastronomic refreshment stop, enhancing the walking experience. One past edition saw around 500 participants, including runners and hikers, assisted by 147 volunteers. The event is organized by Athlé Lesparre Médoc SAM.
