About this race
La Montcéenne is a women-only 5 km road race held in Charleville-Mézières, located in the Ardennes area of Grand Est. It takes place in spring and includes a 5 km walk on the same route, allowing runners and walkers to participate in the same format without covering extra distance. The course is nearly flat, with an elevation gain of 15 meters, and a GPX file is available for those wishing to preview the route.
The start is at the Robert Hemmler sports complex on Mont-Olympe, with the finish at the Cosec in Montcy-Notre-Dame. The race has a field limit of 249 participants, and the walk is limited to 150 places, maintaining a modest event size. The race is open to participants eligible for a 5 km competition, and the walk is also accessible to younger individuals. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and the first finisher in each age category. Additionally, a prize draw is held, requiring winners to be present to claim their prize.
