La Nocturne des Moulins is an evening 10 km run in Valencisse, in France's Loir-et-Cher department. It starts at 18:00, leaning into the after-dark feel suggested by its name, meaning “the night run of the mills.” The route has 175 meters of climbing, enough to make it more than a flat village jog without turning it into a mountain race. Courir en Val de Cisse organizes the event; a recent edition drew 409 runners, giving it the feel of a local race with a proper crowd on the start line.
