The La Pyjama Party Trail in Tours sends runners out after dark in pajamas, with a headlamp treated as required kit. The program includes a 5 km race, a 10 km race, a 21 km trail, free children's races of 1 km and 2 km, and a 10 km Nordic walking event. Starts are staggered through the evening, from the children's races and walkers at 7:00 PM to the 5 km at 8:00 PM, with La Gentilhommière listed as the start and finish site. The mood is less serious than the distances suggest: costumes are strongly encouraged, and many runners swap technical tights for fleece sleepwear, with unicorn pajamas a popular choice. One edition drew more than 520 runners and started from the 37e Parallèle, a rehearsal space for street theater companies near Tours-Nord and Mettray. Joggintours, a local association with 155 members, organizes the event, and the evening has included a group warm-up, children's makeup, fire-eaters, and fireworks.
