La Rando des illuminés - Graix 2026

La Rando des Illuminés is a night hike in France's Loire department, connected to Graix and beginning at the Croix de Chaubouret in Le Bessat. This December event takes place at approximately 1,200 meters elevation within the Pilat forest, offering 7 km and 12 km routes suitable for walkers, not a competitive race field. The course is designed for accessibility, allowing families, friends, casual hikers, and regular walkers to participate in the same evening outing. A unique aspect is the illumination: participants are encouraged to wear garlands, glowing accessories, and sparkling costumes, lighting the forest with headlamps and homemade lights. The event is in its third edition, and past events have shown considerable local support.
