La Romagnatoise is a winter trail-running series held in Romagnat, near Clermont-Ferrand in France's Puy-de-Dôme department. The event typically takes place in late January or early February. It offers routes from 8 to 13 kilometers, extending to the 51 km Trail du Golloix. The series is designed for off-road runners and also features Nordic walking.
The courses traverse the Gergovie plateau, providing significant climbing for the longer races. The 51 km Trail du Golloix includes approximately 1,690 meters of elevation gain. Race names reflect a local Gallic theme, such as Conquête de la Gaule, Ronde des Plateaux, and Assaut de Gergovie. The longest race is ITRA-rated, has a Level 3 mountain rating, and is part of the National League. This explains the presence of fast, local competitors; recent 51 km results show the winner finishing in just over four hours, with many top finishers from France.
