La ronde de St Jans 2026

La Ronde de St Jans is a mid-October trail race held in Saint-Jans-Cappel, located in France’s Nord department near the Belgian border. It provides short and longer off-road courses, typically about 9-10 km and 21-22 km, alongside children’s and junior races. Walking routes are also included. The longer trail ascends approximately 440-600 metres based on the specific course, while the shorter trail is sufficiently hilly to provide a genuine Flanders challenge. The routes traverse the Monts de Flandre region and cross the border from France into Belgium, utilizing forest paths, countryside, and areas near chateaux. The event is organized by APEL Ecole St Joseph and is presented as family-oriented, focusing on the enjoyment of running and the scenery. Participation is consistent for a local trail event, with past fields exceeding 600 runners in the longer race and over 400 in the shorter one. A small mascot known as a “bouclex” is integrated into the race identity for both main distances.
