La Ronde du Ramequin - 28 km 2026

La Ronde du Ramequin is the 28 km trail race in a small race series based in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, in the Ain department of the Rhône-Alpes region. It starts at 8:00 AM and asks a lot more than the distance suggests, with 1,300 meters of climbing packed into the main route. The race is run in September, and the plain version is this: a hilly local trail event rather than a flat road outing. The longer race sits alongside shorter options, including La Ronde des Grangeons at 16 km and La Ronde Express at 10 km. Earlier editions used slightly different distances, with the main Ramequin race listed at 26 km in some seasons and the express race appearing around 8.5 or 9 km. The series has also used the name Trail du Ramequin, and Kikourou lists 14 runner reports for the event, which gives it a visible trail-running footprint beyond the basic results sheet.
