La Tollevastaise is a multi-sport race day held annually in Tollevast, Manche, Normandy, during the autumn, typically in October, since its inception in 1997. The event offers multiple running options, with trail distances ranging from 9 km to 22 km. Nordic walkers can select routes between approximately 15 km and 19 km, while hikers have access to both shorter and longer walking paths. The marked trails are predominantly flat, featuring minimal elevation gain of about 1 meter, emphasizing distance and speed over climbing. The event incorporates mountain biking, contributing to La Tollevastaise's distinct local character compared to typical running races. The cycling routes vary, including an 11 km children's course named Chemin des ecoliers and the 50 km Super Tollevastaise designed for experienced cyclists, with intermediate 25 km and 35 km options available. For a village-based event, participation is substantial, frequently drawing around three thousand individuals.
