La Traversée des Dentelles

La Traversée des Dentelles is a trail-running series held in Gigondas, a wine village in the Vaucluse region at the base of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, it provides multiple off-road races, ranging from a full trail marathon to shorter distances suitable for beginners and children. The Marathon des Dentelles is the longest option, covering 42.195 km with 2,000 meters of elevation gain, presenting a challenging mountain-trail day. The series also features the Trail la Traversée at 21.2 km, the Trail la Gambade at 11.4 km with 420 meters of climbing, a 5 km Petite Gambade, and a free 1 km children's race. The event takes place in the Dentelles de Montmirail, a rugged limestone massif overlooking Gigondas, which defines the course's steep terrain and lends the event its name.
