La Trilogie d’Auriol begins in Auriol, France, within the Bois de la Lare massif. Races traverse the Sainte-Baume Regional Natural Park and the protected Natura 2000 area of Montagne Sainte-Baume. Organized by Les Foulées du Loriot, this trail running series offers three primary distances: 23 km, 11 km, and 5 km. A children’s race is also included, making the event suitable for experienced trail runners, casual participants, families, and younger runners.
The courses are set in protected Provençal countryside, not urban streets, with the event’s character deeply connected to the Sainte-Baume landscape. For three consecutive years, the series has held an exemplary label under the park’s eco-responsible sports event charter, highlighting a significant commitment to preserving the environment runners navigate. Representatives from the regional park attend to discuss the local area, introducing a practical dimension of nature and conservation alongside the competition.
