La Valdahonnaise is a trail running event held in early October in Valdahon, located in the Doubs department of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, eastern France. The race offers several distances, with primary options at approximately 8 km, 13 km, and 23 km. A shorter course is also available, noted by some sources as either 4 km or 5 km. Additionally, the event features walking routes, races for children and juniors, and dog-friendly formats such as canitrail and canicross.
The longer trail courses are single loops that include significant elevation gain for their distances: the 8 km has about 250 m of ascent, the 13 km has 350 m, and the 23 km has approximately 400 m. The 13 km race typically sees the most participants, with over 200 finishers in the last edition, and the 8 km had more than 100 finishers. This event has a long history in the Doubs region, and Valdahon is notably linked to its national military camp.
