La Venansaltaise is a nature race in Venansault, in France's Vendée region, held in March. Adults can choose from three trail distances: 9.5 km, 16 km, and a longest route measured at approximately 23 km, also stated as 25 km. Children have their own 1 km and 2 km races, accommodating both regular runners and families.
The routes are moderate for trail running, with roughly 80 m of elevation gain on the 9.5 km course, 90 m on the 16 km, and 110 m on the longest option. What distinguishes it from a typical local race is the land access: approximately 90% of the routes traverse private property, opened by local landowners. This allows runners to pass on paths, private tracks, around gites, and through Venansault's green spaces. All courses are marked and secured, with adult races starting before the children's races later in the morning.
