La Vitracoise is a Pink October race and walk held in Vitrac, located in France's Dordogne department. Participants are encouraged to wear pink. The event features untimed 8 km and 15 km runs, alongside 8 km and 15 km hikes, catering to those seeking a leisurely outdoor activity rather than a competitive race. The 8 km hike is accessible to all, and families are welcome to participate with children and dogs.
The courses are designed to showcase the natural surroundings near Vitrac. Runners and walkers begin their events in the morning, with staggered starts a few minutes apart, following a group warm-up session led by L'Orange Bleue. Registration can be completed online or on the morning of the event. All proceeds benefit the Ligue contre le Cancer de la Dordogne. The association that organizes La Vitracoise was established to support women impacted by cancer. Périgord Noir Athlétisme is also a partner of the event.
