Le Citron Givré is a 5 km charity run in Menton, on the French Riviera, starting and finishing on the Esplanade des Sablettes. Organized by the City of Menton with the Menton Marathon association, it is part of the Fête du Citron. The race is integrated into the town’s lemon-themed festival, not presented as a standalone road race. It begins in the morning, has a 15 euro entry fee, and is intended for runners, families, and groups of friends, not solely serious racers. Costumes are encouraged, aligning with the festival atmosphere and adding a playful element to the short race.
The route consists of two laps of a 2.5 km loop, beginning at the Esplanade des Sablettes and passing through Stade Rondelli and the Old Port of Menton. All profits benefit SOS Grand Bleu, a local organization dedicated to protecting the Mediterranean marine environment, with a focus on dolphins and whales. The association also conducts public awareness campaigns, seabed cleanups, and educational programs for young people, and its representatives will be present to engage with participants. The race also has a connection to Formula E via the Monaco E-Prix; winners receive special prizes, and all participants are eligible for a draw to win E-Prix tickets.
