Défi 47 begins and ends at the Myre-Mory sports complex in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, with an event village situated around the riding area. This cyclosportive is organized in partnership with the Lot-et-Garonne departmental cycling committee, the city, the Grand Villeneuvois agglomeration, and the Villeneuve Vallée du Lot tourism office. Now in its ninth edition, the event anticipates around 1,200 participants, following over 1,000 riders in each of its initial two Villeneuve-sur-Lot editions.
Riders can select from four routes, ensuring the day caters to various abilities. The Granfondo is a timed 130 km ride for experienced cyclists, the Cyclo is a timed 80 km option, and the Rando offers a 47 km route without timing or rankings. These routes traverse towns, bastide settlements, villages, and countryside within the Grand Villeneuvois and the broader Lot-et-Garonne region. Pierrick Fédrigo serves as the event patron, and the village will feature local producers, partners, bike shops, associations, food, and entertainment related to cycling.
