Le Dernier Homme Debout Bretagne is the Breton edition of Last Man Standing, taking place in Malestroit, Morbihan, during October. Participants run the same 7.5 km loop repeatedly, with each lap needing completion in under an hour to qualify for the subsequent one. The concept is straightforward: continue running until you cease, miss the time limit, or choose to end your participation.
The loop circles the Butte de Saint-Marc, alternating between woodland trails and tight single tracks, featuring approximately 230 to 290 meters of elevation gain per circuit. While some participants might finish after a single lap, the most extended runs can extend to around 180 km. The event accommodates both seasoned ultra-distance runners and those new to the format, with an anticipated 350 participants. The race's motto, “RUN, EAT, DRINK, REPEAT,” encapsulates the cycle: complete the loop, recover swiftly, refuel, and be ready at the start line before the next hour commences.
